I lead operations across the Trust, working with colleagues in all our schools to ensure we provide the best possible educational experience for every pupil. My role covers estates, governance, compliance, technology, people, projects and training.
I also oversee our regional professional development programmes, serving as Director of Generate Teaching Hub, which delivers initial teacher training and career development for teachers across Halton, Warrington and Wigan, and I am a strategic lead within the Northwest Early Years Hub.
I am a governor at Frodsham Primary and Kingsway Primary. With over 30 years’ experience across multiple industries, I bring a strong track record in managing, coordinating and inspiring teams. Outside work, I enjoy creative writing and trail running.

My priorities include overseeing all aspects of governance effectiveness and compliance within the trust, ensuring governance adheres to good practice and meets all statutory and regulatory requirements, with an additional focus on policies across the trust. Whilst my background has been mostly in the private sector with my specific areas of interest being accounts, HR and health and safety amongst a few other areas, I have learned a lot in the education sector since joining the trust and I am continuing to progress throughout lots of different areas. I am qualified in Business Administration and have my AAT in accounting and bookkeeping. I enjoy being active in my free time and this includes playing in a competitive netball league.

I am the Finance Manager for the Trust with responsibility for budget setting, monitoring and forecasting for all schools throughout the organisation and report monthly to the Trust Board. I also manage and report on matters including internal and external audits and periodic financial returns to the DfE. I provide staff training on financial systems throughout our family of schools and support individuals as required. I work on financial due diligence for the onboarding of new schools to the Trust and liaise with the Local Authorities as and when required.
My work and financial background was during a 25-year career with Lloyds Bank working in the Commercial and Small Business sector where I gained a wealth of experience relating to the day to day running of the financial side of a business.
Outside of WPAT I enjoy running and indeed most sports, plus learning about world history via podcasts.
